Job Description and Requirements
Seeking a highly motivated & talented individual for an ASIC Physical Design Manager role, with expertise in physical implementation for a group with growth opportunities. You will be an expert leading expert in the field of physical design validation of soft IP cores.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Physical Implementation of interface IP’s (LPDDR, PCIe, UCIe Controllers) driving all aspects from RTL to GDS including timing and physical sign-off, in close interaction and collaborative teamwork with multiple functional groups and the product team.
You will participate in the management of Digital IP projects, including preparation of project planning, coordination of cross-functional teams, participation in reviews, ensuring adoption of Synopsys’ design methodologies and quality processes, and driving execution towards project completion.

Key Responsibility:
  • Physical design RTL2GDS implementation of complex IP’s
  • Building, mentoring and leading the design team in different Physical Design technologies for advanced technology nodes
  • Manage a team of highly skilled engineers and drive them to deliver in aggressive benchmark situations
  • Define Physical Implementation Methodology, Scheduling, Assignment & Tracking of different design milestones
  • Ability to work as part of a global team and lead the team with technical direction
  • Autonomous, timely decision maker and able to cope with interrupts
  • Ensure that quality procedures are followed, and quality checks are completed. Coordinate with Quality team for reviews, audits, and latest flows.
  • Prepare Project Plans, identifying the requirements, main tasks and milestones
  • Organize project kick-off, weekly meetings that involve multiple teams, prepare meeting minutes and track action items
  • Track project execution, prepare weekly exec-level report and identifying risks
  • Organize post-completion meeting to assess project execution and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the project flow and collateral in Jama
  • First-level analysis of AE consultation tickets for R&D
  • Identifies and escalates issues
  • Drives problem resolution through fact-based, conscious decision making
  • Manages risk and change from conception to delivery. 
Preferred Experience & Requirement:
  • Requires a relevant Engineering Degree/Masters
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience in Physical Design, supporting / handling complex designs
  • Previous team management and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of physical design concepts (synthesis, floor-planning, PnR, physical verification, STA, IR/EM)
  • Knowledge of Synopsys tools: Design Compiler, Primetime SI, ICC/ICC2/Fusion Compiler, Star-RCXT
  • Proficient with physical verification tools and flows – ICV LVS, DRC, ERC
  • Good knowledge of scripting (Perl, TCL, Python), CAD automation method and proficient with Industry EDA tools
  • Familiarity with Project Management and Planning tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
