You Are:

You are a dedicated and experienced Automotive Safety Staff Engineer with a strong background in semiconductor technology and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of functional safety and cybersecurity. You possess a deep understanding of ISO 26262 and SAE/ISO 21434 standards and have a proven track record of applying these standards to product development life cycles. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with diverse teams, including remote members across different time zones. You are proficient in using tools like JAMA, Jira, and Confluence, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Your hands-on experience with RTL design and scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python further enhances your technical proficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Acting as a focal point of contact for coordination with the Functional Safety, CyberSecurity, and internal development teams on projects, task planning, and progress tracking.
  • Participating in quality and functional safety, CyberSecurity reviews, audits, assessments, and certification efforts.
  • Developing various ISO 26262 work products such as Dependent Fault Analysis, FMEDA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Safety Manual.
  • Contributing to, managing, and/or reviewing Threat Modeling and Security Validation Testing.
  • Tracking review/assessment feedback with Jira bug tracking systems and driving closure.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or MS with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Formal training in ISO 26262 & SAE/ISO 21434.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the semiconductor area.
  • Full understanding of automotive Functional Safety standard ISO 26262 and proficiency in the application of standard requirements to product development life cycle.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse group, with remote members across different time zones.
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written English.
  • Working knowledge of JAMA, Jira, and Confluence.
