JD for the ICV Application Engineer in Vietnam 

The primary focus of this Physical Verification Field Application Engineer (PV FAE) is to support the sale of Synopsys’ Physical Verification product, as well as to support the adoption of Synopsys Solutions in Physical Verification domain. Deploy solutions with Synopsys tools that help customers achieve tangible and lasting performance improvements in the cost, quality, and development time for their design projects. 
 
The candidate is expected to have proven experience using integrated IC design environment including commercial layout implementation, Physical verification and extraction tools. In addition, the candidate has to have exceptional understanding of the back-end design process and advanced semiconductor process technology.
 
The candidate should be able to articulate how Synopsys product offerings fit into Physical Design and Verification Methodologies, supports Account Managers to meet proactively manage customer accounts to success. Familiar with other commercial Physical Verification and extraction tools, flows and terminology is a plus. Major Customer support roles include tool/solution deployment, training, problem resolution, methodology guidance, and technical account management. Solid presentation skill is a must.
 
The candidate is expected to play an effective role at interacting with customer's technical staff and the first or second level management. An important aspect of this job will be to leverage your understanding and experience of customers' design processes to Synopsys product development teams for future product/solution improvements.
 
Requirements:

• Proven experience in setting or developing physical verification flows (DRC, LVS, ANT, FILL) using commercial tools.
• Experience in Physical Implementation & Verification and/or related methodology development. 
• Exceptional Knowledge of the process characteristics for 16nm and below. 
• Good expertise in programming with using Tcl and other scripting Language. 
• Solid verbal and written English communication skills, customer interfacing skills. 

    BSEE required with 5+ years design experience, or MSEE (or equivalent) with 3+ years design experience.
