Descriptions & Requirements
We Are

We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent years managing technical programs where the schedule is real, the stakes are high, and the team is scattered across time zones. You know that delivering on time in a global environment is not about perfect plans, it is about seeing around corners, pulling the right levers, and knowing when to escalate versus when to solve. You have worked close enough to chip design and manufacturing to speak the language, and you understand that a runset delay does not just push a date, it blocks a tapeout.
You are the person who walks into a room full of engineers and walks out with a plan that actually works. You do not wait for consensus, you drive it. When a delivery is at risk, you already have two options mapped and you know which stakeholders need to hear about it first. You have built systems that keep teams honest about progress, not because you love spreadsheets, but because you have seen what happens when no one is tracking the real blockers. At Synopsys, you will be working on one of the fastest-growing product lines in EDA, with the world's leading foundries depending on what you deliver.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive planning and delivery risk monitoring for worldwide ICV runset development, coordinating across global teams and foundry partners
- Ensure committed runset deliverables are completed on time, holding teams accountable to schedules that directly impact customer tapeouts
- Proactively identify delivery risks, propose solutions using available resources, and negotiate trade-offs between scope, schedule, and priorities
- Communicate schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders including engineering leadership, foundry partners, and product management
- Develop and maintain systems for accurate forecasting and progress tracking, ensuring visibility into what is on track and what is slipping
- Continuously improve processes to increase productivity, quality, and on-time delivery across the runset development lifecycle
- Collaborate with runset team members to understand their workflows, dependencies, and constraints, and translate that into actionable program plans
The Impact You Will Have
- You will enable Synopsys to meet commitments to the world's leading foundries, directly supporting their process node rollouts and customer tapeout schedules
- Your program management will ensure that one of the fastest-growing products in EDA has the foundry runsets it needs to scale
- You will reduce delivery risk and surprises by building visibility and accountability into a complex, multi-site development process
- Your ability to prioritize and negotiate trade-offs will keep the team focused on the deliverables that matter most to Synopsys' strategic goals
- You will create systems and processes that make it easier for future programs to forecast accurately and deliver predictably
- Your stakeholder communication will ensure that leadership, customers, and engineering teams have a shared understanding of status and risk
- You will help the ICV product line maintain its competitive edge by ensuring the development pipeline moves at the speed the market demands
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience in program or project management
- Proven program management skills across multiple technical projects, ideally in semiconductor, EDA, or related fields
- Familiarity with SoC design and IC manufacturing processes, enough to understand dependencies and speak credibly with engineers and foundry partners
- Experience working directly with customers or external partners, managing expectations and navigating competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to quantify and communicate metrics that drive production delivery, not just report status but drive action
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across distributed teams
- Experience managing programs in a global environment is a plus
Who You Are
- You can walk into a meeting with incomplete information, ask three good questions, and leave with a plan that moves things forward
- You know the difference between a schedule that is green because it is on track and one that is green because no one wants to say it is not
- You can explain a delivery risk to an executive in two sentences without losing the technical nuance that matters
- You are comfortable pushing back when a commitment does not match reality, and you do it in a way that builds trust instead of burning it
- You have built tracking systems before, whether in Jira, Smartsheet, or something custom, and you know what makes a dashboard useful versus just busy
- You do not need to be the loudest person in the room, but you make sure the right conversations happen and the right decisions get made
The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering the foundry runsets that fuel Synopsys' ICV product line. This team has members across the world collaborating with all of the major foundries in the semiconductor industry. ICV is one of the fastest-growing products in the EDA industry and is essential to meeting Synopsys' strategic goals.
Rewards and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
