 The primary focus of the Emulation Applications Engineer is to drive the development and adoption of Synopsys HW Products. This role will help customers deploy the Synopsys HW platforms, contributing significantly to the company's success.
 
You Are:

An experienced Emulation Engineer who is passionate about technology and innovation. You are a problem-solver at heart with a strong foundation in digital design concepts and hands-on experience in programming with HDL and C++ languages. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable taking on individual contributor or tech-lead roles. You thrive in dynamic environments and possess a strong understanding of emulation design bring up and debug.  Your knowledge of hardware platforms and scripting skills (TCL/Perl/Python) are exceptional, and FPGA experience is a plus. Your technical expertise is complemented by excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
 
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Reviewing requirements, developing emulation environments, running a multitude of EDA tools, and developing scripts for automation.
  • Owning and addressing customer challenges.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to shape next-generation platforms, tool features, capabilities, and applications in Synopsys' verification technologies.
  • Performing root-cause investigation, optimizing the design and emulation testbenches for improved tool performance.
  • Creating technical collaterals/in-depth trainings and working with customers/field team members during the evaluation, deployment, and migration to Synopsys Emulators.
  • Providing key input to product planning and development of newer generations of Synopsys Emulator.

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role or related field.
  • Proficiency in HDL languages such as System Verilog, Verilog and VHDL.
  • Familiarity with digital design concepts, verification methodologies and timing concepts .
  • Proficiency in emulation designs and debugging skills.
  • Experience with emulation waveform dump/debug/reconstruction.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware platforms.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Perl or TCL, Python is a plus.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as PCIe, JTAG, ENET and UART is an advantage 
  • FPGA experience is desirable.


Who You Are:

  • Graduate or above degree in Electrical or Electronics or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of industrial experience in emulation/simulation
  • An excellent communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledgeable on areas like Synthesis, Simulation, Verification, place and route with FPGA.
  • Knowledgeable and experience on Hardware emulation tool or experience in verification technology, testcase creation, simulation using VCS or other simulators, debugging with Verdi
  • An excellent communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • A proactive team player who is flexible, resourceful, and responsible.
