Primary responsibilities in this role include: 

  • Providing direct technical customer support for IP products to understand customer IP requirements, guide information exchange about Synopsys IP and develop solid customer relationships 

  • Providing the sales team with technical guidance and support during the pre-sales process, and to drive the IP pre-sales activities within the region 

  • Facilitating a thorough understating and discussion of IP product portfolio features and requirements, and communicating the same between the customers and the business unit stakeholders, including Marketing and R&D 

The AEs pivotal role is building relationships with and understanding the needs of existing and prospective customers.  With a clear understanding of customer needs and requirements, the AE must work across the business unit to guide the customer with Synopsys IP information to progress specific engagements. The successful AE needs a proven foundation in ASIC design and Physical IP. A thorough understanding of semiconductor process technologies is important. The role requires travel (up to 30%). 
 
Requirements: 

  • BSEE, MSEE preferred, and 5+ years relevant experience 

  • Experience with Non-Volatile Memory Technology 

  • Good understanding of the latest SoC architectures and system-level design practices for one or more market segments (for example, mobile, storage, automotive and IoT), from the IP requirements perspective 

  • Understanding of front to back-end SoC design flows 

  • Ability to conduct technical meetings, presentations, seminars, product demonstrations, and customer training is required 

  • Good analytical and technical problem-solving skills in tandem with solid written and verbal communication skills 

  • Customer sensitivity, the ability to multitask and set priorities, to have a helpful and caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customers in exploring new technologies are essential for success in the position 

  • Prior pre-sales AE or FAE experience 

Nice to have: 

  • Domain knowledge of embedded memories, standard cell libraries, IO libraries and memory test and repair 

    The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $126,000 - $190,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
