Working as part of the team based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, you will lead a team contributing to product validation of the FPGA based Emulation platform. The work will involve understanding digital / RTL design, debug methodology and verification methodology. You will also be responsible for ensuring / enhancing the quality and value of the product. You will also assist in product deployment and reactive support dealing with live customer designs. As part of the largest EDA Company, you will be in contact with remote teams on different continents.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Product Validation Engineers based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
• Creates comprehensive validation plans, prepares the strategy for successful deployment/engagement, identifies potential risks and implements corrective action as necessary to ensure timely project delivery.
• Engages directly with higher management to set appropriate expectations for project deliveries.
• Decides the operational model across the team and allocates and manages human resources effectively to meet project demands and operational needs.
• Provides technical guidance to team members.
• Collaborates with cross teams (Research & Development, Product Engineering, Project Management, DevOps) on daily basis to ensure smooth release convergence while highlighting the critical issues to the management.
• Hires and trains new employees and retains/motivates key talent.
• Defines clear criteria and plans growth of each individual considering organizational and individual goals and rewards for team’s achievement.
• Drives strategic Initiatives: Identifies and pursues new opportunities, partnerships, and projects that align with the team’s and organizational goals.
• Oversees the team as they create new solutions and generate new ideas leading to new innovations.

Key Qualifications

• At least 5 years industry experience
• 2 to 3 years of experience in leading and managing an engineering team
• Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of digital electronics and logic design
• Technically bright and analytical minded
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork skills
• BSc / MSc in the domain of Electronics / Electrical Engineering
