Fluent in both Mandarin and English, you are adept at conducting global internal investigations and responding to government inquiries. Your experience includes developing and managing ABAC programs, crafting policies, procedures, and training materials, and leveraging e-discovery platforms for electronic reviews. With a law degree and over eight years of legal compliance and risk management experience, you are adept at understanding complex issues, assessing risk, and providing concise legal advice. You thrive in a dynamic environment, acting independently on new or special assignments with minimal oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting a broad range of internal investigations related to potential violations of company policy and/or law, with a particular focus on matters arising in the APAC region.
  • Driving the continued development of a best-in-class Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) program to address risks under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other global ABAC laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Partnering with senior leaders in APAC offices to align on key risks, drive cross-functional programmatic improvements, and champion a culture of compliance.
  • Developing and launching enhancements in events and entertainment practices, expense processes, and government sales practices.
  • Leveraging data and analytics for ABAC key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs), and advising on opportunities for programmatic enhancements.
  • Developing and launching tailored micro-burst trainings to target key Ethics & Compliance issues in the APAC region.
  • Monitoring changes in compliance-related laws, regulations, and government enforcement initiatives.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Ensuring compliance with global ABAC laws and regulations, thereby mitigating legal and financial risks for Synopsys.
  • Enhancing the company’s reputation by driving a culture of integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Providing critical legal advice that influences strategic decisions and operational practices.
  • Improving the effectiveness of the Ethics & Compliance program through data-driven insights and analytics.
  • Strengthening relationships with APAC senior leaders, fostering collaboration, and aligning on key compliance risks.
  • Contributing to the development of cutting-edge compliance training programs that address region-specific issues.

What You’ll Need:

  • Law degree and 8+ years of legal compliance and risk management experience; in-house tech experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other global ABAC requirements and government expectations.
  • Experience conducting global internal investigations and responding to government inquiries.
  • Experience developing and managing ABAC programs, including developing policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Experience conducting electronic reviews using e-discovery platforms.
  • Ability to understand complex issues, assess risk, and provide concise legal advice.
