Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years turning complex silicon IP development into programs that actually ship on time, and you know the difference between a schedule that looks good in a deck and one that survives contact with reality. Managing mixed-signal IP programs has taught you that the hardest part is not the technical work itself, it is keeping analog designers, digital teams, backend engineers, and customers aligned when timelines shift and dependencies break.

You are comfortable walking into a room where half the team is in Hsinchu, the other half is spread across three time zones, and the customer is asking for a milestone update you do not have yet. You do not panic. You ask the right questions, escalate what needs escalating, and find a path forward. You have designed circuits or brought up silicon yourself, so when an engineer tells you something will take two more weeks, you know whether that is real or optimistic.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage mixed-signal IP development programs from kickoff through tapeout, ensuring delivery against committed schedules and quality targets
  • Serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional teams spanning RTL, analog design, backend implementation, and verification across multiple geographies
  • Plan program schedules, identify dependencies, track risks, and escalate issues before they become blockers
  • Organize and lead regular program reviews and customer meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Drive problems to resolution across organizational boundaries, coordinating between engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
  • Manage multiple concurrent IP programs, recognizing when timelines are slipping and proactively building contingency plans

The Impact You Will Have

  • Your program discipline will directly determine whether IP blocks tape out on schedule and meet customer performance, power, and area commitments
  • Clear communication and proactive risk management will prevent costly schedule slips across global engineering teams
  • Your ability to coordinate across analog, digital, and backend teams will reduce integration issues and accelerate time to silicon
  • Customer-facing program leadership will build trust and ensure Synopsys IP becomes the foundation of their next-generation SoCs
  • Structured processes you establish will improve predictability and execution quality across the IP portfolio
  • Programs you manage will help customers integrate more capabilities into their chips and get differentiated products to market faster

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of program management experience in analog or digital design environments
  • Proven track record managing silicon IP or ASIC development programs through full product lifecycles
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, ASIC flows, IC manufacturing processes, and process technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization across geographic and functional boundaries
  • Design experience in RTL, digital or analog circuit design, backend implementation, or silicon bring-up is a strong plus
  • Previous customer engagement experience including presentations and regular program reviews is a strong plus

Who You Are

  • You can walk into a program review, see a schedule that does not account for verification closure, and call it out in a way that gets the team to fix it
  • Process-oriented with an emphasis on clear, documented communication across time zones
  • You manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing track of details, and you recognize when a risk in one program will cascade into another
  • Comfortable hosting meetings where half the participants are engineers deep in the weeds and the other half are customer stakeholders who need the executive summary
  • When timelines slip, you work backward to understand why and forward to build a credible recovery plan
