Job Description and Requirements

Internship Overview:

The Internship position “ASIC Digital Design Engineer” with 16 month duration requires working on various aspects of DDR Firmware verification flow. The candidate will exercise skills in a variety of tasks including but not limited to firmware simulation, regression monitoring and scripting, bug analysis, testbench feature coding, functional coverage, protocol checkers etc. Familiarity with DDR protocols is a plus.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Participate in PHY firmware verification feature implementation: Feature implementation entails understanding the requirements, implementing it in the testbench, simulation testing, followed by a confirmation with waveform analysis. Additionally implement functional coverpoints and checkers for continued verification.

 

What you will learn:

The following are examples of tasks that you would be doing during this internship.

  • System verilog coding of various testbench components
  • Assisting with verification of firmware features
  • Debugging simulation failures
  • Writing Perl/Python scripts to enhance workflow

 

Skill requirements and qualification:

  • Knowledge of programming languages System verilog, verilog and IC design flow.
  • Knowledge of scripting with Python or Perl, Bash, makefiles is a plus.
  • Understanding of digital logic and verification flow.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • High motivation for learning and exploring new technologies;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
