What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prototype innovative, agentic developer experiences that automate high-friction SDLC tasks such as code search, change impact analysis, test selection, build failure triage, and review assistance.
- Enhance existing tools with LLM-driven features using robust enterprise guardrails, including model routing, privacy controls, and feedback loops.
- Build and integrate microservices; containerize and deploy solutions to on-prem and cloud environments, adding observability for enhanced reliability.
- Integrate across multiple source control management systems (e.g., Git, Perforce/Helix) and large monorepos to enable seamless cross-repo workflows.
- Connect and automate CI/CD and test systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub), surfacing actionable insights and automating repetitive tasks.
- Define success metrics, add telemetry and dashboards, and present demos and outcomes to R&D leadership.
- Uphold security, compliance, and data governance best practices, including SSO/RBAC and secret management.
What You’ll Need:
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, with a return to school after the internship.
- Proficiency in Python with strong scripting skills; comfortable working in Linux environments.
- Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD concepts; hands-on knowledge of Git.
- Experience building services/APIs and working with JSON/REST or gRPC; familiarity with containers (e.g., Docker).
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML or LLM applications (coursework or projects); willingness to learn agentic frameworks and evaluation methods.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a product-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and artifact systems.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with security/compliance basics (OAuth/OIDC, SSO, RBAC).
Key Program Facts:
- Program Length: 12-16 weeks (Summer program; may be flexible based on academic calendar)
- Location: Sunnyvale, CA, USA (with hybrid flexibility)
- Working Model: Hybrid (typically 3 days onsite / 2 days remote per week)
- Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time
