Descriptions & Requirements
We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You are a technical program manager who has learned that getting silicon out the door is less about the technical work and more about keeping fifteen different streams aligned when dependencies shift. You have spent years in environments where a missed handoff between design and verification can cost weeks, and you have developed the instincts to catch those gaps before they cascade.
You do not need complete information to start building a plan. You work with what you have, ask the right questions, and create enough structure that teams can execute without waiting for perfect clarity. When a schedule starts slipping, you spot it two weeks early and bring the right people together to course-correct.
You are comfortable sitting in a technical review where engineers debate timing closure strategies and walking out with a clear view of what needs to happen next, who owns it, and what could go wrong. At Synopsys, you will work on UCIe programs shaping the future of chiplet interconnect, and the structure you bring will directly affect whether those programs land on time.
Anywhere in Ontario: Mississauga, Markham, Kanata, Nepean
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive execution for UCIe development programs from planning through tape-out, managing timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones across design, verification, and integration teams
- Build and maintain project plans that reflect real engineering work, tracking progress against milestones and surfacing risks before they become blockers
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies, clear execution roadblocks, and keep work moving toward shared deliverables
- Identify schedule, resource, and technical risks early, and drive mitigation plans with stakeholders who can actually address them
- Coordinate program reviews and cross-functional meetings that support decision-making and keep alignment tight across distributed teams
- Communicate project status, changes, and emerging risks clearly to internal stakeholders, adjusting detail based on audience
- Support customer-facing program coordination in partnership with senior leaders, managing timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions
The Impact You Will Have
- Help deliver UCIe projects on time and within scope, supporting Synopsys' leadership in next-generation chiplet interconnect IP
- Improve program visibility by maintaining accurate plans and surfacing risks early enough to matter
- Strengthen cross-functional alignment so design, verification, IP integration, and silicon teams work toward the same milestones
- Enable better decisions by giving stakeholders clear insight into project status, dependencies, and where execution risk is building
- Support strong customer experiences through reliable communication and disciplined follow-through
- Contribute to more consistent, scalable program management practices across the organization
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years in technical program management or engineering program leadership in semiconductor IP, chip design, or EDA environments
- Understanding of the SoC development lifecycle, including design, verification, integration, and tape-out
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and schedule constraints
- Project management fundamentals including planning, risk management, execution tracking, and stakeholder communication
- Experience working with customers or external partners in a technical program environment is a plus
- Familiarity with UCIe, chiplet architectures, or advanced packaging technologies is a plus
Who You Are
- You can follow technical discussions closely and identify where execution risk is building even if no one says it directly
- You communicate clearly and adjust your level of detail depending on whether you are talking to an engineer, a program lead, or a VP
- You raise issues early and help teams work through them constructively, not just pointing out problems but helping solve them
- You bring organization and clarity to fast-moving, cross-functional work without creating process overhead that slows people down
- You build trust by following through on commitments and keeping stakeholders informed
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and adjusting plans as priorities evolve
