Job Title: Proteus C/C++ infrastructure internship 

Introduction: 

We Are: The infrastructure team provides a C/C++ distributed computing platform on which application like optical proximity correction is performed. A large-scale job typically deals with more than 10,000 workers and data volume in terabyte. Our mission is to optimize data flow and keep pushing the boundary of DP capability.

Mission Statement: Each Proteus worker does a task to process a piece of layout at a time. It’s important to rerun the task through our standalone tool corexec for debugging and performance tuning. One missing feature in corexec is that it can only deal with a sequence of tasks in the same group but not different groups. The mission is to fill the gap. 

What You’ll Be Trained to Do: 

• large-scale software design 
• development in an environment with more than 30 people 
• complete software development flow from specification all the way to testing 
• weave through legacy code and get your work done 

What You’ll Need: 

• Currently pursuing a master degree in Computer Science, or related field in the penultimate year of study. 
• Have proficient knowledge in data structure, and operating system 
• Must have a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills
