You Are:

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning product quality from early concept design through release to production and eventual End of Support phase(s).
- Recommending manufacturing processes and suppliers based on capability, aligned with Synopsys commodity plans, capacity, risks, and total cost of ownership.
- Driving Design for Excellence (DFx) by engaging cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers early in the design cycle to improve manufacturability and testability.
- Managing product and process development activities with suppliers, identifying quality KPIs, and driving metric improvements.
- Establishing, monitoring, and publishing quality dashboards with supporting metrics at global contract manufacturers (CMs)/suppliers.
- Conducting periodic meetings with global CMs/suppliers to drive quality metrics and resolve issues.
- Driving continuous improvement projects with CMs/suppliers.
- Conducting first article inspection reviews on Synopsys products.
- Partnering with Test Engineering to support the development, validation, and deployment of end-of-line test strategies.
- Leading failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions for production issues and field returns, ensuring robust and sustainable solutions.
- Creating and reviewing BOMs, ECOs, and manufacturing-related changes using PLM tools.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Ensuring the highest standards of product quality from design to production.
- Driving supplier selection and development to meet Synopsys’s quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Implementing processes that identify and manage quality excursions in a timely manner.
- Improving overall manufacturability and testability through early supplier engagement in the design cycle.
- Supporting the development and execution of end-of-line test processes with the Test Engineering team.
- Leading failure analysis and corrective actions for production components and field returns.
- Enhancing transparency and accountability in quality performance through comprehensive dashboards and KPIs.
- Driving sustainable process improvements that impact Synopsys’s global supply chain.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in hardware manufacturing, supplier/product quality, or related field of complex electronics and electro-mechanical products.
- Strong experience with high layer count PCB and high-density PCBA assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings with GD&T.
- Experience in manufacturing test, collaborating with test teams to interpret failures and drive root cause analysis.
- Experience managing complex quality/improvement projects at global CMs/suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, metrics, and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
