We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are:

You are a visionary and technically adept engineer with a passion for advancing simulation technology. With 10–20 years of experience in EDA software development, you thrive in environments that challenge you to innovate and redefine industry standards. Your expertise is grounded in modern C++, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and compiler design, and you have a proven track record of tackling complex, large-scale software projects. You bring a deep understanding of digital simulation and are excited by the opportunity to harness GPU acceleration to deliver unprecedented performance and scalability. You’re not only a code craftsman but also a mentor, guiding teams through best practices and technical excellence. Collaboration energizes you; you build bridges across architecture, QA, and product management to deliver robust solutions. You value continuous learning, remain curious about emerging technologies, and enjoy solving intricate problems. Your leadership inspires others, and you are committed to influencing the future trajectory of simulation platforms at Synopsys. Above all, you believe in the power of teamwork, integrity, and innovation to drive impactful change for customers and the industry at large.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Architecting, designing, and developing next-generation Verilog simulation technologies with a focus on GPU acceleration.
  • Contributing to the evolution of a high-performance, large-scale Verilog simulator, ensuring industry-leading standards.
  • Developing and optimizing compiler and runtime components for complex simulation workloads.
  • Debugging and resolving intricate issues within large, mission-critical C++ codebases.
  •   Driving performance, scalability, and correctness improvements across the entire simulator stack.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including architecture, performance, QA, and product management to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Providing technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and setting best practices.
  • Influencing the long-term technical direction and roadmap for simulation technologies within Synopsys.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Accelerate Synopsys’ leadership in Verilog simulation through architectural innovation and GPU-enabled performance.
  • Set new benchmarks for performance and scalability in digital simulation platforms.
  • Enhance the reliability and correctness of mission-critical simulation tools trusted by semiconductor industry leaders.
  • Shape the technical roadmap and vision for next-generation EDA solutions.
  • Mentor and elevate the capabilities of engineering teams across the organization.
  • Deliver customer-centric solutions that empower the creation of advanced silicon chips and systems.
  • Drive adoption of innovative simulation technologies within both primary and emerging markets.

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong expertise in C++ (modern standards preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of Verilog / SystemVerilog and digital simulation concepts.
  • Proven experience debugging and maintaining large-scale software applications.
  • Solid understanding of compiler design (front-end, optimization, back-end concepts).
  • Extensive background in EDA tools and simulation platforms.
  • Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of GPU architecture and parallel computing (CUDA, GPU memory models, threading) is a strong plus.

Who You Are:

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Effective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative team player, willing to share knowledge and mentor others.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently on challenging projects.
  • Adaptable, open to new ideas, and eager to stay at the forefront of technology.
  • Committed to excellence, integrity, and delivering impactful results.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You’ll join a newly formed, high-impact engineering team dedicated to advancing Synopsys’ leadership in digital simulation. This group is focused on architectural innovation, GPU acceleration, and the evolution of VCS, Synopsys’ flagship Verilog simulation platform. You will collaborate with experts in architecture, QA, performance, and product management, working together to build scalable, high-performance solutions that empower customers to design the next generation of silicon chips.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
