You Are:

You are a talented applications engineer with deep expertise in TCAD device and/or process simulation of modern semiconductor devices. You possess strong knowledge of semiconductor device and/or process physics.

As a product applications engineer for TCAD products, you will be the technical interface between R&D and our customers. As a TCAD product expert, you will work with R&D, marketing, and our customers to help drive the development and acceptance of our TCAD products.   


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Developing TCAD solutions flows for cutting edge logic, memory, CIS, RF, and/or power devices.
  • Developing best usage models of TCAD tools.
  • Defining the technical vision for future product enhancements.
  • Defining and managing TCAD customer and application development projects.
  • Apply machine learning and agentic AI techniques to make TCAD accessible to a broader user base.

What You’ll Need:

  • PhD degree in EE or Physics, related to semiconductor physics and technology
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in semiconductor devices, process technology, process integration, with strong focus on simulation and modeling
  • Experience with TCAD simulation tools
  • Basic knowledge and experience of scripting languages such as Python and TCL
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact at the engineering and management level with the “help others succeed” mentality.

You will join the Synopsys TCAD team, a group of talented engineers dedicated to developing advanced simulation tools for the semiconductor industry. Our Sentaurus line of products is used by semiconductor corporations, research institutions, and universities worldwide to design and simulate next-generation semiconductor chips used in products such as phones, cameras, and cars. Our team is focused on creating innovative solutions that drive the future of semiconductor technology.
