- Leading the development and deployment of advanced design methodologies and automation frameworks for analog, mixed-signal, and digital IC design.
- Managing and mentoring a team of engineers focused on EDA methodology and automation initiatives.
- Collaborating with R&D, product, and application teams to define, refine, and implement best-in-class design flows and processes.
- Driving the adoption of AI/ML-driven automation to accelerate verification, improve quality metrics, and reduce manual effort in design cycles.
- Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current workflows, and delivering innovative, scalable solutions using scripting, CAD tools, and process re-engineering.
- Interfacing with foundry, IP, and customer teams to ensure methodologies align with leading-edge technology requirements and customer needs.
- Documenting and communicating methodology improvements, success stories, and lessons learned to drive global adoption and knowledge sharing.
- Accelerating time-to-market for Synopsys customers through robust, automated design flows.
- Elevating the quality, reliability, and scalability of EDA methodologies and toolchains across multiple projects and technology nodes.
- Influencing the roadmap and strategic direction of Synopsys’ automation and methodology offerings.
- Empowering engineering teams with state-of-the-art tools, training, and support to maximize productivity and innovation.
- Enhancing collaboration between R&D, application engineers, and customers by standardizing best practices and methodologies.
- Reducing engineering overhead and manual intervention through data-driven process improvements and automation.
- 10+ years of experience in EDA methodology, CAD automation, or semiconductor process development (analog, mixed-signal, or digital domains).
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and project management skills in a cross-functional engineering environment.
- Deep hands-on expertise with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys Custom Compiler, Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, ICV, or similar).
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Perl, TCL, Shell, SKILL, or related languages, with a focus on automation and tool integration.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and supporting complex design methodologies across multiple technology nodes.
- Track record of driving process improvements, methodology adoption, and tool optimization initiatives.
- Collaborative leader who fosters a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Effective communicator, able to influence technical and non-technical audiences alike.
