What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, specifying, and maintaining comprehensive test cases and test scripts for Ansys applications.
  • Applying your knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to perform manual and automated functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Creating detailed test plans, managing defects, and contributing to testing metrics to drive quality improvements.
  • Utilizing a variety of computing environments—including Windows, virtual machines, and cloud platforms—to execute and validate tests.
  • Collaborating closely with product creation teams to analyze requirements and develop automated tests for new features.
  • Participating in design and code reviews, providing actionable feedback to enhance product quality.
  • Assessing product usability and functionality from a customer-centric perspective, ensuring solutions meet real-world needs.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product issues, working with technical specialists to resolve complex challenges.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Enhance product quality, helping customers innovate faster and with greater confidence.
  • Drive usability improvements that make advanced engineering tools accessible to a broader audience.
  • Strengthen Synopsys’ reputation for excellence in software verification and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the development of robust automated testing frameworks that streamline future releases.
  • Support the delivery of new features that address evolving market needs and maintain technological leadership.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Mechanical Engineering preferred) with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, or Visual Studio.
  • Understanding of CFD and/or FEA principles and their application in testing environments.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Ability to work across multiple computing environments (Windows, VMs, Cloud).
  • Familiarity with defect management, test metrics, and QA processes.

Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator, comfortable working in geographically distributed teams.
  • Detail-driven and highly organized, with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Quick learner, open to feedback and new ideas.
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in dynamic environments.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and professional growth.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You’ll join a diverse and forward-thinking group within the Design Business Unit (DBU), focused on developing and verifying world-class simulation software such as Ansys Discovery. The team is collaborative, innovative, and dedicated to delivering products that empower customers in academia and industry alike. You’ll engage with software developers, domain experts, and other verification engineers to drive excellence across the product lifecycle.
