You Are:
You are a seasoned finance professional with deep expertise in accounting and revenue recognition, ideally within the software industry. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and possess a keen analytical mindset that enables you to navigate complex revenue scenarios with precision and insight. Your experience spans over 15 years in corporate finance, including significant exposure to revenue accounting for software and cloud-based offerings. You bring a strong foundation in US GAAP, ASC 606, and Purchase Price Accounting, and you’re comfortable interpreting contractual language to ensure compliance and accuracy in revenue reporting. As a leader, you inspire and mentor teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement. You communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights. You are adaptable, resourceful, and committed to operational excellence, always seeking opportunities to optimize processes, drive automation, and implement best practices. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and mentoring a team of revenue accountants, overseeing deliverables, reviews, and performance development.
- Reviewing revenue transactions for acquired contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable US GAAP and Purchase Price Accounting (PPA).
- Applying knowledge of various software business models, including SaaS offerings, to revenue recognition processes.
- Interpreting contractual language to advise on and apply proper accounting policies under ASC 606.
- Supporting monthly closing activities, including reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Identifying actionable insights and recommending improvements to accounting processes and efficiencies.
- Partnering cross-functionally to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.

- Supporting strategic decision-making with clear, data-driven financial analysis.
What You’ll Need:
- CA qualification and bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years in a corporate finance environment, with 10-12 years in revenue accounting for software/cloud-based offerings.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and Purchase Price Accounting.
- Experience in SAP/HANA 4 is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
- Experience interpreting and applying contractual language in revenue recognition.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain complex scenarios to diverse audiences.
