You Are:
You are a seasoned professional with a passion for physical design engineering, particularly in the context of SoC (System on Chip) development. With over 10 years of experience, you have honed your skills in various facets of physical design, from RTL to GDSII. You possess a deep understanding of Synopsys tools such as DC, DCG, DC TOPO, Fusion Compiler/ICC2, and are familiar with methodologies for SOC implementation. Your expertise extends to top-level floorplanning, complex clocking methodologies, and various verification processes.
Your proactive approach enables you to recognize and mitigate risks effectively, ensuring high-quality deliverables. You thrive in collaborative environments, working well both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. Your ability to adapt and contribute to incremental methodology and flow development sets you apart. You are driven by the challenge of meeting unique performance, power, and size requirements of target applications, and your track record reflects your commitment to excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implementing physical design from RTL to GDSII for Aerospace and Government customer programs.
- Collaborating with customer teams, working on SOC top-level and block-level physical design implementation and design closure.
- Developing and refining methodologies and flows to improve processes across development teams within Synopsys and customer environments.
- Ensuring successful SOC implementation by proactively managing risks and contingency plans.
- Handling top-level floorplanning, bump-maps, RDL IO Pad/Ring creation/verification, and power grid creation/verification.
- Driving back-end physical design tools for blocks and full-chip through PT timing closure and sign-off.

What You’ll Need:
- BS or MS with 10+ years of experience in physical design engineering.
- Proficiency with Synopsys DC, DCG, DC TOPO, and Fusion Compiler/ICC2.
- Experience with Synopsys Flow Development and SOC implementation methodologies.
- Solid understanding of top-level floorplanning, complex clocking methodologies, and verification processes.
- Experience with Synopsys ICV, Ansys Redhawk SC, and familiarity with GlobalFoundries, TSMC, and Samsung technology nodes.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
You will be part of a dynamic team within Synopsys' System Solutions business, focused on integrating more capabilities into an SoC faster. Our team offers a broad portfolio of silicon IP and world-class Synopsys EDA tools for SOC design, development, and physical implementation. We collaborate closely with our customers to design, verify, and implement SOCs that meet their unique performance, power, and size requirements.
