You Are:
You are a skilled layout and schematic design engineer with hands-on experience in custom IC design. Your expertise spans the layout of standard cells, IO devices, core devices, resistors, and diodes. You possess a strong understanding of semiconductor physics, including ESD, latch-up, electromigration, and antenna effects, allowing you to anticipate and mitigate potential reliability issues. You are proficient with industry-standard tools such as Synopsys Custom Compiler, and you approach each project with an analytical mindset and a passion for solving complex design challenges. You enjoy collaborating with peers, guiding junior engineers, and sharing your knowledge to elevate team performance. You thrive in environments where learning and innovation are highly valued, constantly seeking to explore new technologies and methodologies. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive attitude ensure that your designs meet stringent quality and performance standards. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and implementing layouts for standard cells, IO devices, core devices, resistors, and diodes using industry-leading tools.
- Creating and reviewing schematic designs to ensure functionality, manufacturability and performance
- Applying knowledge of ESD, latch-up, electromigration, and antenna effects to optimize designs for reliability and robustness.
- Utilizing Synopsys Custom Compiler for layout and schematic development, verification, and refinement.
- Analyzing design challenges, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with project requirements.
- Documenting design processes and results, maintaining clear records for future reference and audits.
- Mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support on layout and schematic tasks.
What You’ll Need:
- Good knowledge of layout and schematic design methodologies.
- Experience with layout of standard cells, IO devices, core devices, resistors, and diodes.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor physics related to ESD, latch-up, electromigration, and antenna effects.
- Proficiency with Synopsys Custom Compiler and related layout tools.

- Previous professional experience in custom IC or layout design roles.
