We Are:

At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are:

You are a proactive and resourceful Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for supporting and optimizing enterprise-scale Citrix environments. With 3–5 years of hands-on experience, you thrive in fast-paced, 24×7 production setups and bring a strong foundation in both Linux and Windows VDI support. You are energized by solving complex technical challenges, whether it’s troubleshooting critical infrastructure issues, automating repetitive tasks, or collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Your approach is customer-centric, always aiming to reduce downtime and increase system efficiency. You possess a deep understanding of Citrix XenDesktop architecture, are comfortable managing VMs on XenServer or VMware ESXi, and have a knack for scripting in languages like PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Bash. You value thorough documentation and clear communication, ensuring knowledge is shared and solutions are repeatable. Your curiosity drives you to stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies, while your sense of accountability ensures you see issues through to resolution. You’re eager to contribute to a collaborative team, learn from others, and help shape the reliability of mission-critical environments at Synopsys.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing expert end-user support for Citrix-based Linux and Windows VDI environments in a 24×7 enterprise production setting.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Citrix infrastructure, including LDAP/Active Directory, NFS, networking, and XenServers.
  • Collaborating with engineering and IT teams to identify root causes, implement solutions, and drive environment enhancements.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash) to automate routine tasks and streamline troubleshooting processes.
  • Documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), issue-resolution steps, and maintaining up-to-date technical records.
  • Supporting Windows OS and virtualization issues in R&D environments, troubleshooting application and networking problems as needed.
  • Proactively monitoring system alerts, responding to incidents, and escalating complex cases as appropriate to ensure high availability and performance.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Ensuring the reliability and uptime of mission-critical Citrix VDI environments that support Synopsys’ global operations.
  • Reducing incident response times and increasing user satisfaction through efficient problem-solving and automation.
  • Enabling engineering and R&D teams to operate efficiently by providing robust technical support and rapid issue resolution.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of system architecture, processes, and documentation.
  • Helping Synopsys maintain its leadership in semiconductor and software innovation by ensuring a reliable IT backbone.
  • Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team and across departments.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience supporting Citrix XenDesktop environments (including Delivery Controller, StoreFront, PVS, and VDA registration/session flows).
  • Experience with XenServer or VMware ESXi for VM configuration and management in enterprise settings.
  • Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems, including deployment and patching practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Bash for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, routing, DHCP) and related services (AD/LDAP, SAMBA, NFS, X-display troubleshooting).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Who You Are:

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to new technologies and processes.
  • Customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and solutions.
  • Organized and disciplined, with a track record of thorough documentation and follow-through.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You’ll join a diverse, talented, and supportive IT Operations team dedicated to providing robust, scalable, and secure virtual desktop environments for Synopsys’ global workforce. The team values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, working closely with engineering, R&D, and infrastructure groups to ensure seamless operations and to drive forward the company’s technology initiatives.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
