You Are:

You are a dedicated and experienced Unix/Linux Engineer with a deep understanding of system administration. You take pride in ensuring the stability and security of systems, and you have a knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the environment, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting engineering secure compute environments across various application domains and platforms.
• Performing routine system patching to address security vulnerabilities and accurately reporting security incidents.
• Responding to alerts, reported issues, escalating problems as required, and resolving significant matters using independent judgment within established support practices.
• Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Building productive internal/external working relationships, primarily within the business unit and with external customer contacts on routine matters.
• Assisting with the automation of IT infrastructure using Ansible and various other tools.

What You’ll Need:

• Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking.
• Solid knowledge of network-related services such as NIS/LDAP, DNS, NFS, and DHCP.
• Experience with programming administration tasks using shell scripts and languages like Python.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

We are looking for an experienced Unix/Linux Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Operation team to support our engineers. Our team strives to automate any repetitive tasks, empower our users with self-service tools, and provide clear documentation. Experience with modern technologies such as Ansible, Kubernetes, Openstack, and Grafana Prometheus would be highly valuable.
