The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
This role will be driving the procurement of large-scale, highly complex emulation, simulation, and prototype capital equipment. This equipment is manufactured by our global contract manufacturers and then sold to chip development companies around the world.
You Are:
You are a seasoned procurement professional with a passion for ensuring the seamless flow of materials that support production and new product development. With over 10 years of experience in hardware procurement and a strong background in SAP, you excel at managing vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing procurement processes. Your analytical skills allow you to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently. You communicate effortlessly at all levels, demonstrating good judgment, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external customers. Your attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly make you an invaluable asset to any team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinating with management to plan and purchase materials, ensuring the flow of materials supports production and new products in development.
- Developing and utilizing material requirements (MRP) to plan and execute purchase orders in the system.
- Monitoring and resolving production material shortages.
- Partnering with vendors to request quotes, place purchase orders, update vendor order acknowledgements, ship dates, and CM production schedules to ensure on-time delivery, change orders, and expediting where needed.
- Regularly updating planning and procurement reports.
- Working closely with our R&D, NPI, and Commodity Management teams.
- Collaborating with our Inventory team to verify goods received as compared to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Working closely with our Accounts Payable team to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Constant communication with key stakeholders and management.
- Maintaining and improving procurement policies, procedures, and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Ensuring the timely procurement of materials to support production and new product development.
- Maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure the best terms and ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolving material shortages to prevent production delays.
- Providing accurate and timely updates through planning and procurement reports.
- Facilitating seamless collaboration between R&D, NPI, Commodity Management, Inventory, and Accounts Payable teams.
- Enhancing procurement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 5 years of SAP experience.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware procurement.
- Clear understanding of ISO and SOX requirements.
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP reporting.
- Strong background in making presentations, collecting metrics and reporting data to peers and management.
- Ability to take initiative and to work independently at the highest level.
- Position is Onsite / Full Time
