Principal, Strategy & Corporate Development
This role is in the Corporate Strategy team which drives medium/long-term company strategic plan, due diligence on strategic acquisitions, and high-impact strategic projects. The Corporate Strategy team is a part of Chief Strategy Officer's organization (Strategy and Corporate Development), which also includes Corporate Development / M&A, Market & Competitive Intelligence, Partnerships, Technology Innovation, and Government Affairs.
As part of the Corporate Strategy team, you will:
- Define the company's overall medium/long-term ambitions and strategy through the annual corporate strategic planning process, including the analysis of the industry landscape and trends, competitive dynamics; assessment of the company's business portfolio; identification of business performance improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Corporate Development team in the definition of proactive, strategy-driven M&A plans and strategic partnerships. Drive due diligence on strategic acquisitions, and support cross-functional integration planning
- Lead C-suite level projects to address specific strategic questions/issues/opportunities across businesses and functions as they emerge, owning the end-to-end work process: frame the question/issue, structure an approach to address it, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses and articulate actionable recommendations
- Partner with the BUs for the development of their respective business strategies, identifying priority initiatives and investments across product/engineering, go-to-market, and operations
- Work cross-functionally to drive the operationalization of critical cross-unit strategic initiatives from set-up to impact, establishing strategic KPIs and a program management structure
- Support CEO, CSO, and other senior executives on strategy-related communications
Key qualifications:
- Experience in management consulting. Experience in investment (e.g., private equity, investment fund, investment banking) is valued but not a pre-requisite
- Strong Excel modeling skills required, due diligence experience is highly valued. Financial modeling experience such as P&L, market model, business case, etc. is valued
- Knowledge of the Semiconductor or Software industry is valued, but not a pre-requisite
- MBA degree is valued, but not a pre-requisite
- Growth mindset, eager to be stretched and learn
- Commitment to excellence and attention to detail
- Motivated to be part of a small, highly dynamic team working on C-Suite level topics in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving and communication skills to generate insights and articulate an independent point of view backed by data/facts
- Comfortable working with senior leaders. Ability to develop trust-based relationships and drive alignment of different stakeholder groups
- Intellectual curiosity and creativity combined with hands-on action/results orientation
- Passion for technology and the transformative potential of AI
The Corporate Strategy team is based in our headquarters located in Sunnyvale (Bay Area, California). Due to the nature of this role, 5 days per week of in-person presence is expected.
