You Are:

You are a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Publications Engineer with a passion for creating clear and comprehensive documentation. You excel at working closely with subject matter experts and design teams to gather necessary information and accurately translate it into user-friendly manuals. Your organizational skills ensure timely releases of documents, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you proactively coordinate with other technical writers. You possess a strong command of written and verbal communication, enabling you to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Your positive temperament and optimistic attitude to learn and improve make you a valuable team player. With your eye for detail and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle, you are adept at creating documentation templates and keeping documents updated with changing customer requirements and technological advancements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Write and maintain user manuals for model libraries (IP) and tools.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and design teams to seek inputs and reviews.
  • Ensure timely release of documents in line with scheduled product releases.
  • Ensure the accuracy of documents within short turnaround times.
  • Keep documents up to date with changing customer requirements and technological advancements.
  • Proactively track and coordinate with other technical writers for current/upcoming assignments.
  • Assist product development teams in reviewing and editing internal documentation.
  • Follow the documentation conventions as per the Synopsys Style Guide.

What You’ll Need:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive temperament and good team player.
  • Mandatory tools: Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Preferred tools: Adobe Acrobat, MS-Office, MS-Visio, Screen Capturing tool, Version Control System like CVS/Perforce.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Ability to create document templates and documents from scratch if required.
  • Optimistic attitude to learn and improve.
  • Flair for writing and an eye for detail.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English; familiarity with American English spellings.
  • Experience in writing user manuals/technical documents, preferably from the EDA/semiconductor industry (preferred).
