The “Hardware Engineer” is mandate is to design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems in compliance with the project’s test specifications and Synopsys’ test methodologies.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of test tasks. They will incorporate any of Test Specification Generation, Setup Preparation, Board Design, IC Characterization, Documentation, and Prototype Evaluation and Characterization
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performing testing on silicon implementations of high-speed analog integrated circuits;
- Results review and debugging of silicon under test, as well as hardware supporting;
- Running characterization tests and creating test reports;
- Apply theoretical knowledge to investigate and explain circuit behavior and circuit limitations in a testing and characterization environment.
Key Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent). At least, 1-2 years working experience in a related field;
- Basic Analog IC circuit knowledge;
- Basic debugging skills;
- Lab equipment skills (oscilloscopes, network analyzers);
- Software programming experience (MATLAB, Python are preferences);
- Basic knowledge on FPGA programming (Verilog);
- Knowledge of NRZ and PAM4 encoding;
- Familiarity with Board Design;
- Familiarity with UNIX operating systems;
- Good English communication skills.
